INTMP establishes a Scientific Advisory Council to independently validate its methods
Established by Internal Ordinance No. 008/2026, the Council brings together academia, the private sector and the public sector, on a pro bono basis, to validate methods, indicators and content before publication.
The National Institute of Technologies & Psychosocial Monitoring (INTMP) has established its Scientific Advisory Council, a scientific, technical, educational and technological advisory body reporting to the National Presidency. Its mission is to provide independent validation of everything INTMP produces and publishes.
What the Council does
- Assesses the methodological soundness of the Control Tower and its indicators.
- Reviews technical notes, guides and reports before official publication.
- Validates the protocols of the Emotional Support Service and the content of the Educational Module.
- Upholds data protection and good research practice in scientific studies.
Who leads it
The Honorary Presidency is held by Prof. Alice Maria Hosken Vieira, MSc, Rector of Centro Universitário Braz Cubas. Scientific Coordination is led by Prof. Eliana Santos de Farias, PhD, Coordinator of the institution’s Psychology program.
The Council is organized into three committees: Academic, Private Sector and Public Sector. Its full membership will be announced once acceptance terms are signed, with the inauguration scheduled for December 2026 at Centro Universitário Braz Cubas.
Independence as a rule
Participation is honorary and voluntary, with no remuneration. The Ordinance bars anyone who oversees, judges or makes decisions about INTMP, as well as competitors and suppliers, and adopts peer review: the author of a piece of content never reports on it.
